Tesco Ireland has announced a new price-lock commitment, under which it has pledged to freeze the prices on hundreds of everyday products until 2023.

The products are all included within the Low Everyday Prices campaign, which covers a wide range of products and brands, from grocery staples and fridge favourites to household and health & beauty products.

Some of the examples of price-locked goods include Kellogg’s Cereal Plain Wheats 500g at €3; Tesco Greek Style Lemon Yogurts 4x125g at €1.59; Tesco Mixed Pepper Stir Fry 320g price-locked at €2 and Sensodyne Extra Fresh Daily Care toothpaste 100ml at €3.75

Tesco says Low Everyday Prices is a key part of its commitment to give customers great value on their shopping – going hand-in-hand with Aldi Price Match, great value own-brand staples with its Exclusively at Tesco brands and exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices. The Tesco Toy Sale*, running in stores until 30 October also offers savings of up to 50% on children’s toys.

“As we head into the winter months, we know that households are taking an even closer look at their budgets,” said Cathal Deavy, customer director, Tesco Ireland. “Our price lock across hundreds of products until 2023 should reassure customers that these products will stay at the same price – helping them manage their budgets when they need it most.

“This will also help in the lead up to Christmas, customers have certainty of price on products to spread the cost of the season, with no need to hold off in anticipation of further price changes,” Deavy added.
