As part of Lidl’s ‘A Better Tomorrow’ Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and a commitment to give back to local communities, the retailer supports registered charities through its Charity Gift Card programme.

Since January 2023, St. Vincent de Paul services across the county have availed of more than €180,000 worth of discounts through Lidl’s Charity Gift Card programme.

Lidl invited Rose McGowan, national president of St. Vincent de Paul and Elizabeth Smyth, head of fundraising, St. Vincent de Paul to Lidl’s Head Office in Tallaght, where they accepted the donation on behalf of the charity.

Lidl Ireland offers Charity Gift Cards to registered charities across the country. Lidl’s Charity Gift Cards work the same way as the standard Gift Cards, with the added option of restricting alcohol sales. Discounts are available when ordering Gift Cards and they can be redeemed in any of Lidl’s stores in Ireland.
