Spar ‘turns up the festive cheer’ as streaming sponsor of Christmas FM and sponsor of The Spar Christmas FM Song Contest 2025

Spar has recently to announced its return as streaming sponsor of Christmas FM for November and December 2025, and as sponsor of The Spar Christmas FM Song Contest, ‘celebrating Ireland’s incredible musical talent this festive season’.
Christmas FM began streaming online from Saturday, 1 November filling homes across Ireland and beyond with the sounds of Christmas through its website and app.
The contest
The Spar Christmas FM Song Contest also launched the same day, inviting singers, songwriters, and festive music fans to share their original Christmas songs or creative covers to help “Switch Christmas On” across the nation.
According to SPAR, the contest will be featured across Christmas FM’s streaming service, before taking to the FM airwaves from 28 November, when Christmas FM officially launches on FM. From that date, listeners will be able to enjoy the contest, and the best in festive music, both online and on FM.

Entries for The Spar Christmas FM Song Contest 2025 are now open now until 1pm on Friday, 28 November
To enter, simply record your original festive song or Christmas cover and submit it here.
The winning song will be broadcast to Christmas FM’s listeners in Ireland and around the world, joining a line-up of festive classics.
