With just three weeks to go to the second annual Grocers Fun Run event, in aid of the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund, there is still time to sign up and get running.

Sponsored by Keelings and supported by FMI, the Grocers Fun Run is a fun family event which will be held on Sunday, 8 April 2018 in The Phoenix Park, Dublin. This initiative invites people from within the grocery industry, together with their families and friends, to participate in either a 10k or 5k run or walk in the park.

On the day, there will be lots of suppliers sampling at the race – Keelings, Good Snack Company, JDE and Fulfil to name a few – and the family entertainment area is ideal for children attending the event. As usual, all participants will receive a goodie bag and Grocers Fun Run t-shirt and will get a medal and certificate on completion.

“Keelings are delighted to be involved again in the sponsorship of this great fundraising initiative with the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund,” said Conor Kilduff of Keelings. “First and foremost, this is a fun event and it encourages people from within the grocery industry, together with their families and friends, to get active and run or walk for a great charity cause.”

The IGBF has been serving the Irish grocery industry since 1981 by providing an important industry network and organizing fundraising initiatives in order to donate essential financial relief to members of the trade and their families.

Both corporate packages and individual spaces are still available for this event so to register, visit www.thegrocersfunrun.com.
