Recognised as one of Ireland’s largest independent craft breweries,

The Rye River Brewing Company of Celbridge Co. Kildare, has won 19 awards at the prestigious World Beer Awards 2018, making it the most-awarded brewery in Europe. Among the awards Rye River took home were Best Double IPA for McGargles Dan’s Double IPA, Best Kölsch style for Grafters Kölsch and Best Classic Style Pilsner for Crafty Brewing Company Irish Lager.

The World Beer Awards are internationally recognised and celebrate the best of beer across the globe. Over 2,000 beers from thirty countries were adjudicated by an expert panel of judges to determine the winners. The Celbridge brewery held its own when judged alongside international heavy-weight, Boston Beer Company which produces the renowned Samuel Adams, proving Rye River a trailblazer for independent craft breweries across the globe.

Co-founder and Managing Director Tom Cronin said the team at Rye River is delighted at the wins. “We are thrilled to have our passion for quality craft beer and innovation recognised on an international level,” he said. “Our success in the World Beer Awards make us determined to continue creating great tasting, quality beer.”

2018 has already been an extremely successful year for the brewery. In April, Rye River Brewing Company picked up three medals at the Frankfurt International Trophy, a further twelve medals at the Alltech Craft Brews and Food Fair in March and eight Great Taste Awards.
