After a Decade of Dealz, the leading discount retailer has announced that it has raised an incredible €672,183 for its charity partner, Make-a-Wish Ireland.

Dealz, which has 80 stores across Ireland, has also signalled its intention to continue its fundraising with staff taking part in a series of 10K sponsored runs and the launch of the Big Dealz and Make-A-Wish Ten Year Anniversary Raffle.

The raffle, recently launched across all Dealz stores, gives customers the chance to win a fantastic collection of prizes including a €1000 Cassidy Travel voucher, Andrew Conway’s signed Ireland rugby jersey, monster merchandise, B&B at the Sandymount Hotel in Dublin, a €120 voucher for The Ivy, Dublin and a €150 Larry O’Keefe voucher.

Make-A-Wish has one simple aim – to grant wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions and to bring hope strength and happiness. To grant these wishes, the charity relies overwhelmingly on the kindness of donations and support from companies like Dealz.

Dealz country manager, Olivia McLoughlin said the company is proud to be such a strong supporter of Make-A-Wish.

“We are constantly amazed at the work Make-A-Wish does for these very special children,” she said. “To put a smile on the faces of children who have been through so much in their lives already is a very special thing.

“Make-A-Wish have been on the journey with Dealz since we opened in 2011,” McLoughlin added. “We are delighted to be able to support the work the charity does. Our customers and colleagues throughout the company are all so supportive and generous in their support of our fundraising initiatives, and I want to say a big thank-you to everyone who has helped us raise €672,183 for Make-A-Wish.”

Meanwhile the charity’s chief executive paid tribute to Dealz for their efforts during the past decade.

“On behalf of our wish children and their families, I would like to say an enormous thank you to Dealz and all their staff for the incredible support they have given us over the last 10 years,” said Susan O’Dwyer. “It has been a huge pleasure to work with the team. As far as we are concerned they are all wishmakers.”

Tickets for the Ten Year Anniversary raffle cost €2 each or three for €5 and can be bought at all Dealz stores.
