The CSNA has recently noted an article in the Irish Independent on Wednesday (2 July) that notes the below products to be advertised as nicotine free but after being analysing they have been found to have nicotine in them.

The products involved are:

  • McKesse MK Bar 7000. Sub-brand (flavour): Blueberry
  • McKesse MK Bar 7000. Sub-brand (flavour): Blackcurrant Mango
  • McKesse MK Bar 7000. Sub-brand (flavour): Blueberry Pear
  • Bang Box 18000 Puffs. Sub-brand (flavour): Watermelon Ice
  • Bang Box 18000 Puffs. Sub-brand (flavour): Strawberry Watermelon
  • Bang Box 18000 Puffs. Sub-brand (flavour): Blueberry Ice

These products were also reported to have nicotine content in July and October 2023 yet these companies seem to be ignoring these reports from the HSE and carrying on selling these products with no penalties according to the CSNA.

The CSNA added: ‘These products are not compliant to sold in the Republic of Ireland and yet they are still on sale.’
