This weekend saw the highly anticipated new Donnybrook Fair Store & Restaurant open its doors to hundreds of shoppers at Dundrum Town Centre. The new store will bring the number of Donnybrook Fair stores to six.

There was fun and entertainment outside the store, situated at Dundrum Town Centre’s Pembroke Square, as Late Late Toy Show star Úna Walsh performed A Million Dreams on the harp among other Christmas songs. Popular singing trio The Bugle Babes were also on hand to get shoppers in the festive mood along with Santa treating the first 100 customers to freshly baked Donnybrook Fair cookies and hot chocolate.

The first shoppers through the doors got to check out the new 9,688sq ft store which is designed over two floors with a food market on the ground floor, including butcher, cheese, juice and pizza counters along with premium wine and coffee areas.

Orders were also being taken for Donnybrook Fair’s “Christmas in a Box” which includes enough food for eight people for Christmas Day (priced €265). In the new year, Donnybrook Fair fans can sign-up to experience a range of pop-up culinary experiences from cookery classes, wine tastings and a private dining area to freshly cooked pizzas and street food to go.

“We are thrilled to be able to open the store just in time for Christmas,” said Donnybrook Fair MD Des O’Mahony. “This year Donnybrook Fair celebrates its 20th anniversary, so it’s been extra special with this spectacular new store. It is very different to our existing stores and offers a real food adventure for people with our various culinary counters. I would like to thank all the staff and the shoppers who have been so gracious with their well wishes over the weekend!”

Donnybrook Fair is located on Pembroke Square and is now open daily Monday to Saturday – 7.30am – 8pm, Sundays/Bank Holidays: 9am – 8pm.
