Dealz is planning to open a new store in December at Belgard Retail Park in Tallaght, Co. Dublin.

A new 10-year lease, with rent set at approx. €200,000 per annum, is understood to have been signed by Dealz on the unit previously occupied by Mothercare.

The letting of the units was handled by Mervyn Ellis of BNP Parabas Real Estates on behalf of landlord Marathon.

He said the 1,000sq m premises had achieved “strong interest” and that this was strengthened by the unit’s open planning permission of the traditional bulky goods consent which retail parks often hold.

The existing tenant line-up of Belgard Retail Park includes B&Q, Equipet, Right Style Furniture, Burger King, Starbucks, Halfords and Home Store & More.

Dealz now has more than 100 stores in Ireland with the new Belgard store bringing its total in Dublin to 17.
