May issue of ShelfLife magazine

The full May edition of ShelfLife is now available to read online at the above link, as a complement to our print version which we will continue to distribute to readers nationwide.

As the ‘roadmap to reopening’ Ireland gets underway, many of our readers who were based in offices, will continue to work from home in the coming weeks. As such, we wanted to ensure those readers didn’t miss out on receiving their monthly edition of ShelfLife, and our digital edition subsequently now sits alongside our printed magazine.

As always, this month’s issue features a comprehensive overview of all the latest news and developments affecting the grocery retail sector.

Our cover story takes a look at BWG’s response to Covid-19, with the company outlining how it has adapted to the new normal and risen to the biggest challenge the industry has ever encountered.

We also take a look at how producers are pulling out all the stops to maintain Ireland’s supply chain. Julia O’Reilly speaks to small suppliers to find out how they are managing with unprecedented demand and an uncertain future.

Meanwhile, Shopper Intelligence Ireland interviewed Irish shoppers to help us to better understand the pandemic shopping trends. And in our ‘messages of support’ feature, suppliers expressed their gratitude to those working at the coalface for keeping the wheels of industry turning.

Our commercial features this month outline the latest innovations and brand news taking centre stage within the BBQ and summer drinks categories. The print edition also includes a comprehensive overview of the tobacco category and the changes brought about by the new menthol ban, which cannot be included digitally for legal reasons.

We hope you enjoy this month’s issue, available at the link above. If you have any feedback on the topics covered, please do not hesitate to get in touch at gillian.hamill@mediateam.ie.

Our June issue will lead with the latest ‘100 Master Brands at Home’ research conducted by Kantar. For further details or if you would like to advertise your brand within the June issue, please contact either Ian Mulvaney at ian.mulvaney@mediateam.ie or Mark Morgan at mark.morgan@mediateam.ie.
