Maxol unveiled as major sponsor with RTÉ 2FM

Forecourt retailer Maxol has been unveiled as a new sponsor on RTÉ 2FM, where it is set to partner with the daily traffic and travel bulletins across the day.

Maxol has announced it has entered a 12-month deal to sponsor of RTÉ 2FM’s weekday traffic and travel bulletins.

Brokered by Mediaworks and Core Sponsorship, the sponsorship will feature 10 Maxol-sponsored credited stings each weekday. Stings will air in both the morning and evening drive on 2FM Breakfast with Doireann and Eoghan (6.30am – 9am) and on both Jenny Greene on 2FM (3pm – 6pm) and Game On (6pm – 6:30pm).

Caroline Burton, head of marketing, The Maxol Group, said the sponsorship is a brilliant way for Maxol to kick-start its centenary year. “Maxol’s customers are a community of radio listeners,” said Burton, “at home, on the go, in work and in the car. Therefore, it’s really exciting to have this campaign run across the national airwaves, right throughout the year, reaching them wherever they are tuning in.

“2020 is a big year of celebration for everyone in Maxol,” she added, “and we want to generate a real buzz right across the country, getting customers and communities involved in the celebrations too.”
