Overall, Mars Chocolate is taking the precautionary step of recalling products produced in Veghel in the Netherlands due to a possibility of plastic contamination. In some instances, a piece of plastic of this nature could present a choking hazard.
The Irish recall concerns only the products below with the following best before dates that were manufactured in the Netherlands and distributed in Ireland:

|BOX CELEBRATIONS 380G||17.07.2016|

|FUNSIZE MARS 250G||18.09.2016|

The company states that this is an isolated incident and only the above products manufactured in the Netherlands are impacted. To date, Mars Chocolate says it has only received one consumer complaint. In Ireland, Mars has not received any consumer complaints.
