Deliveroo teams up with Roz Purcell to host a special culinary masterclass

Earlier this week, Ireland’s top food and health aficionados gathered for a culinary masterclass hosted by Deliveroo and best-selling cookbook author and model, Rozanna Purcell at Cocu Kitchen, Hatch St, Dublin 1. Special guests included Cocu executive chef, Emilia Rowan who prepared a selection of Cocu’s signature dishes in front of guests. Caroline Hazlehurst, general manager of Deliveroo for the UK and Ireland also highlighted Deliveroo’s commitment to providing customers with healthy food options whether at home or at work, noting that “the service has been incredibly well received by Dublin foodies”.

S.Pellegrino announces the much-anticipated return of S.Pellegrino Young Chef, a global competition recognising leading young culinary talent from across the world.  The contest will take place over a span of 18 months, with this next edition lasting from 2017 to 2018. Oakland International Ireland Retains Global BRC Standard

Supply chain distribution specialist Oakland International has retained British Retailers Consortium’s (BRC) quality audit for storage and distribution for its Ireland facility located in Ashbourne Co. Meath. Oakland’s general manager in Ireland, Richard Hill, said: “Retaining BRC approval is fantastic news for the business and for our customers, with BRC accreditation providing assured acknowledgement that Oakland is a highly rated supply chain partner.”

Vintners Federation of Ireland appoints new communications and public affairs manager

The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) has appointed Brian Foley as its new communications and public affairs manager. Brian Foley has 20 years’ experience in the media and communications sector, initially as editor of a number of trade magazines and more recently as communications consultant with the Construction Industry Federation. Following his appointment, he will work closely with VFI chief executive Padraig Cribben to increase the profile of the pub sector to better reflect its status at the heart of Irish life.

Wolf Blass launches new rugby limited edition

Wolf Blass, one of Ireland’s favourite Australian wine brands, has teamed up with rugby pundit Brent Pope to launch the new Wolf Blass Rugby Limited Edition in Ireland. Throughout February and March, each bottle of Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay will feature one of the 15 rugby positions, from Loosehead Prop (1) to Full Back (15). The launch is timed to coincide with Ireland’s upcoming and eagerly-anticipated European rugby internationals, and the campaign will be heavily supported by in-store POS and online advertising.

Maxol announces new recipes for Moreish in 2017

Maxol has announced its 2017 plans for Moreish, the company’s fresh food offering, based on growing trends in the food industry and consumer feedback. This includes the launch of a new Moreish signature sandwich range with a greater focus on healthier foods, gluten-free options, and the introduction of a new range of pre-packed sandwiches.
