The Keoghs have been busy over the last few months, not just keeping production lines going so shelves are stocked, but campaigning to thank Ireland’s healthcare workers.

In April, Tom Keogh, founder and managing director, Keogh’s Crisps, created a public fundraising initiative which aimed to get a personal thank you into the hands of Ireland’s frontline healthcare staff.

To date, the campaign has raised €100,000 meaning 1,000 frontline workers will receive a special edition ‘Ireland Thanks You’ One4All gift card to the value of €100.

“Like many, I have close family and friends who suddenly found themselves on our frontlines, fighting for us in this invisible war against COVID-19,” said Keogh. “I just felt those working in healthcare really deserve a personal thank you from the people of Ireland, so we put a campaign together to enable people to do this.

“All the thank yous will go to people right across healthcare sector. They may be a nurse, a doctor, a speech therapist, physio or support staff, anyone in the frontline in our ICUs and COVID wards – they deserve to be thanked.”
