Jameson Irish Whiskey has announced the signing of a further three-year sponsorship agreement with the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, marking its seventh year as sponsor and extending its commitment until 2012. The festival will run over eleven days from 12 to 22 February.

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival will be supported by a fully integrated €1 million marketing campaign incorporating TV, on-line, cinema, print, outdoor advertising, and e-marketing, and an intensive PR campaign.

“We are very excited about signing this three year sponsorship agreement for this year and then for 2010, 2011, and 2012. This extended partnership further strengthens and builds Jameson’s relationship with film”, commented Alexandre Ricard, chairman and chief executive Irish Distillers, Pernod Ricard. “Jameson is now involved with film festivals and events in over 20 countries around the world”.

Jameson further evolved its support of film in Ireland and beyond with the announcement in December 2008 of it’s sponsorship of the Jameson Empire Awards 2009 in London in March.
