New data from Aldi Ireland suggests that Brussels sprouts could be among the most popular items for Christmas 2025, based on shopping trends from last year, when a quarter of December stock was sold on 23 December.
Fresh cream, champagne, and AA batteries were also top sellers, highlighting the importance of both festive food and practical essentials for households preparing for the holiday.
23 December, 2024, was Aldi’s busiest shopping day of the year, as last-minute shoppers stocked up to ensure Christmas dinner and seasonal hosting went smoothly. This year, a similar pattern is expected, with shoppers prioritising key ingredients and household items in the final days before 25 December.
