The Irish Daily Mail and TG4 are to sponsor the International Rules Series this year. In addition, TG4 will broadcast the two games live and RTÉ will have the radio rights and the rights to a television highlights package.

Ireland face Australia in Páirc na nGael, Limerick on October 23 and seven days later the second test takes place at Croke Park. Both games will be played under lights.

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Criostóir Ó Cuana welcomed the announcement and acknowledged the valued support of both partners.

He said: “The International Rules Series makes a welcome return to our calendar this year and the staging of the first game in Limerick brings an added dimension to the 2010 series.

“Our players are strong supporters of this series and GAA supporters have voted with their feet when it comes to attending the games. “We look forward to welcoming the Australian team to Ireland and wish Anthony Tohill and his team every success.

“I would like to acknowledge the support of the Irish Daily Mail, our series partners and look forward to their coverage of the games and the build up in addition to the extensive coverage they already afford our games and activities.

“Similarly I would like to thank TG4 as team and broadcast partners as they add these international events to their extensive GAA stable. We look forward to working with you both.”
