Irish Whiskey is one of Ireland’s greatest exports and an industry that continues to flourish during the recession.   It can only be produced in Ireland and is heading for worldwide sales of five million cases this year. That figure is predicted to rise to 6.5 million cases by 2015, making it the fastest-growing brown spirit in the world with global sales growing 10 per cent each year.

Whiskey Live Dublin celebrates of the success of the Irish whiskey industry and will showcase a host of Irish whiskies and a selection of great whiskies from around the world.

This inaugural Irish event also showcases food and whiskey combinations with opportunities to enjoy leading Irish whiskeys matched with cheese, chocolate or coffee and the Whiskey Live stage will play host to live music, presentations and displays throughout the day. A varied programme of tasting whiskey masterclasses will also be hosted throughout the day by leading Irish distilleries.

Whiskey Live founder Damian Riley-Smith said, “We have brought Whiskey Live to so many corners of the world, from Sydney to Taipei, New York to Madrid and feel the moment is right that Dublin should have its very own whiskey festival. There’s no greater city in which to enjoy this greatest of fine drinks”.
