Festive plans are already afoot to re-trasmit this piece of pure Christmas hokum which, as well as taking the Michael out of the very excellent original ‘Snowman’ cartoon from Raymond Briggs, also manages to inject into this fine redraft some of Scotland’s most famous fixtures, sights and scenery alongside a healthy sprinkling of dour Scots humour.
