Following a festive partnership, Frank and Honest and ALONE are celebrating the incredible success of their ‘A Cup of Kindness’ Christmas campaign, which has raised an outstanding €42,000 to help combat loneliness and social isolation among older people across Ireland.
The limited-edition ‘Cup of Kindness’ tree ornament, created by Frank and Honest and sold in Centra stores nationwide for €4, captured the hearts of shoppers looking to give a meaningful gift during the festive season.
Donations
With all profits donated directly to ALONE, the campaign encouraged communities across Ireland to come together in support of older people who need it most.
Thanks to the overwhelming support from Centra customers, the campaign has delivered a significant €42,000 contribution to ALONE’s vital services, helping to provide practical support, friendship and reassurance to older people throughout the winter months and beyond.
Jennifer McWhinney, brand manager for Frank and Honest said “We were delighted to partner with ALONE to raise funds for such a worthy cause and we’re incredibly proud of the generosity shown by Centra shoppers.
“At Frank and Honest, community has always been at the heart of what we do, and this result shows the real impact we can make when we come together.
“A huge thank you to everyone who supported the campaign and helped spread kindness when it was needed most.”
Seán Moynihan, CEO of ALONE, said ““We are very grateful to Musgrave, Frank and Honest and Centra, and to everyone who supported ALONE by purchasing a Cup of Kindness tree ornament.
“Last year alone, ALONE supported almost 44,000 older people across the country, and demand for our services continues to grow.
“This donation will help us respond to that increasing need, ensuring more older people can access support, connection and practical help when they need it most.”
This initiative highlights the power of small acts of kindness and the meaningful impact they can have when communities rally together.
