Online food ordering platform Flipdish, has teamed up with the iconic Bewley’s Grafton Street cafe in Dublin, to allow consumers to order their favourite hot beverages and treats directly from Bewley’s website.

Flipdish says it is excited to deliver the new service that will operate in line with the café’s opening times on a Click and Collect basis only during current Government Covid-19 restrictions.

Once indoor dining resumes, Bewley’s will use QR codes, which offer digital menus on all smartphones and tablets, for table ordering. This will in turn create a more smooth running order process for consumers and staff.

According to Flipdish, it allows foodservice outlets to control their business growth through its digital ordering and marketing system. With a branded website and app, available on both Android and iOS, Bewley’s can carefully manage their brand.

The technology also allows Bewley’s to interact with customers through push notifications and loyalty offers. Flipdish will also provide Bewley’s with Pixelpoint POS (Point of Sale) technology that sends orders directly to the till which is key for efficient operation and saves time for staff.

James McCarthy, co-founder of Flipdish welcomed the partnership stating that: “We are excited to see where this partnership takes us and to aid Bewley’s in executing their service particularly in these unprecedented times.

“As Ireland begins to reopen after its third lock down, Flipdish’s priority is to provide the necessary digital tools to the hospitality industry in an effort to get them back on their feet and thriving once again,” he added. “The technology that we have equipped Bewley’s with allows them to take control of their brand in a new and innovative way and to fully harness the power of bringing their business online.”
