Eurospar Cobh hosted a fund-raising day for Eurospar’s official charity partner, National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NCBRI) recently, with more than €2,500 raised and donated to the charity by Eurospar Cobh’s Shane Jones.

Cobh community

Eurospar Cobh donated the proceeds from all car washes and coffee sales on the day and laid on plenty of entertainment for the wider Cobh community to enjoy.

This included food samples, ice cream and face painting for the kids.

Anyone who got a car wash was also entered into a draw to win €100s worth of prizes.

Entertainment was put on by local Cork radio station, 96fm, who had their Street Fleet squad in attendance to add to the fun-filled atmosphere.

“We raised €2,500 for NCBRI on the day, and it was wonderful to see so many of the local Cobh community get behind us and support the activities,” said Shane Jones, manager, Eurospar Cobh.

The NBCRI was chosen as Eurospar‘s official charity partner for two years (2024-2026) and will benefit from funds raised through a donation from the sale of select Spar own brand products and other fundraising efforts.
