The Church of Oak has recently appointed Enda O’Sullivan as its new CEO.

Whiskey has been crafted since 2022 by Church of Oak after a redevelopment of Ballykelly Mills along the banks of the Grand Canal.

Enda experience

The new CEO has over 20 years of experience within the global premium drinks industry and was recently vice president of Canada’s Mark Anthony Brands.

He led the roll-out of the brand’s spirits business unit and portfolio.

O’Sullivan also spent over a decade in areas such as Scotland, Mexico City, London, Australia and Germany.

He said: “I have been so impressed with the depth of care, provenance and innovative thinking that’s going into whiskey making at the distillery”.

Gratitude to co-founder

Richard Burrows, a shareholder in Church of Oak, firstly welcomed Enda as the new CEO.

He said: “His expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we bring Church of Oak to the next level”.

Secondly, Burrows paid tribute to Garrett Pitcher, co-founder and outgoing managing director of Church of Oak.

Burrows, speaking about Pitcher, said: “We wish him well and thank him for his passion and dedication, which has contributed in no small way to bringing Church of Oak to where it is today”.

The outgoing managing director also spoke regarding his pride in the company.

“I am deeply proud to have led this team from inception, and I am incredibly grateful to have worked alongside them in building Church of Oak from the ground up, he added.”
