Dealz & Pepco to recruit over 100 seasonal colleagues

Stores to close 26 December and 1 January to give colleagues well deserved break

‘Dealz & Pepco’ is planning to take on over 100 seasonal colleagues to work in stores across the Republic of Ireland this festive season.

The bargain retailer confirmed it plans to take on the workers in temporary sales floor roles in the run-up to Christmas until early January.

And, for the fourth year in a row, all Dealz & Pepco stores will be closed on Christmas Day, St Stephen’s Day and New Year’s Day to give colleagues a well-deserved break.

Olivia McLoughlin country manager said the additional colleagues will help ensure the stores continue to provide high quality service to customers throughout the festive season.

“We can’t wait to welcome our new seasonal colleagues to the team – we know too from experience that many also find permanent roles with us once the festivities are over,” McLoughlin said.

“What’s more we really appreciate how hard our colleagues work during the year and closing the stores on these additional days over Christmas and New Year is our way of saying thank you to them – not least because this quarter has been especially busy with new store openings.

“Their efforts are appreciated and we hope they enjoy a well-earned break with family and friends over the festive period.”
