Dublin based communications agency Conjure Communications is celebrating five years in business, marking the milestone with continued year-on-year revenue growth, a growing team, a strong pipeline of new business and an evolving approach to PR in the age of AI-driven search.

Founded by Anthony O’Brien Bedford in 2021, the independent agency has doubled its revenue over the past two years, while continuing to build a diverse portfolio of clients across food and drink, arts and culture, technology, health, sustainability, hospitality and lifestyle.

New business wins in 2026 include Teeling Whiskey, Disrupt Disability Arts Festival, Zeb Summit, Two Pups / Notions, The Paddy Box, Zendra Health and Education Elephant, adding to a growing roster of long-standing clients.

Conjure has also continued to invest in its team, with Cliodhna Buckley joining as an account executive this year, following the appointment of Account Director Viv Murphy in 2025.

The agency’s fifth year has also seen recognition from the wider communications industry, with Conjure shortlisted for Best Media Relations at the PRCA Ireland Awards, while Viv Murphy was shortlisted for Rising Star.

The continued growth comes at a time of significant change for the PR industry, with AI-powered search and generative AI changing how consumers discover, research and evaluate brands. Conjure is adapting its model, placing increasing emphasis on the value of credible third-party media coverage as part of a brand’s wider digital presence.

Anthony O’Brien Bedford, managing director at Conjure Communications, says “When I founded Conjure five years ago, the ambition was to build an independent agency that was genuinely collaborative, commercially minded and focused on doing work that made a tangible difference for clients.

“Five years on, that ambition hasn’t changed, but the industry around us has.

“Doubling the size of the business over the past two years is a significant milestone for us, particularly because that growth has come alongside new team members, new clients and recognition for the work we’re producing.

“We’ve been fortunate to build long-term relationships with brilliant businesses while also continuing to bring new brands into the agency.

“We’re also seeing a fundamental shift in how people discover and assess brands.

“As AI tools and search platforms increasingly become part of that process, the value of credible third-party sources is only becoming more important.

“A brand talking about itself on its own channels is one thing; having independent journalists, publications and experts talking about that brand creates a different level of authority and credibility.

“For us, that means evolving how we think about PR while staying true to the fundamentals – great ideas, great storytelling and genuine relationships.

“Being independent means we can adapt quickly, and that puts us in an exciting position as we look towards the next five years.”

Since its launch in 2021, Conjure has taken a fresh and human approach to PR, combining strategic communications with creative storytelling to build brand reputation, generate meaningful media coverage and create genuine connections between brands and their audiences.

The agency works across consumer, lifestyle, food and drink, arts, technology, health, sustainability and corporate communications, with a client portfolio spanning established Irish businesses, growing brands and organisations operating internationally.

As it enters its sixth year, Conjure will continue to focus on sustainable growth, developing its team and client portfolio while evolving its approach to meet the changing needs of brands in an increasingly fragmented media and digital landscape.
