To mark her miraculous 40th birthday, actor and Debra Ireland ambassador Colin Farrell is taking on the “Run to 40” by running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon in honor of Emma Fogarty, aiming to raise €400,000 for Debra.

Mace retailers

Mace retailers and their staff throughout Ireland are signing up to the Mace Run to 40 for Debra initiative to support Debra Ireland.

The initiative celebrates a significant milestone for Emma Fogarty, who is a Debra Patient ambassador and board member born with epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

Despite her parents being told she would not live past one week, this year Emma defied the odds and turned 40, an age rarely reached by those with EB.

Run to 40

Mace retailers and staff are joining forces with Emma and Colin Farrell by either walking 40,000 steps or running 40km (individually or as a team) from 21-27 October.

They are raising funds through in-store fundraising and donations from selected Mace Own Brand products.

Charity Partner

“Mace retailers are very proud to work with Debra as our official charity partner and we hope that our support will continue to help improve the lives of everyone with epidermolysis bullosa (EB),” said Keith Crawford, sales director, Mace.

Mace’s network of retailers voted overwhelmingly to support this charity, and Crawford is enthusiastic about participating through initiatives like the Mace Run to 40.
