Circle K was delighted to announce this week that four products within its in-store food and drinks range were judged amongst Ireland’s best at the 2022 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards.

Alongside supplier partners Around Noon and Brambles, Circle K took top prize in the awards ‘food to go’ category for its Artisan Ham and Cheese Jambon, and bronze for its Cajun Chicken Baguette.

The retailer was also recognised with Brambles in the ‘quiches, pies and savoury’ category, winning gold for its Artisan Ham and Cheese Jambon, and silver for its Artisan Irish Handmade Sausage Roll. Circle K also received gold recognition with Around Noon for its Apple & Ginger Cold Pressed Shot in the soft drinks category.

The only forecourt retailer to win gold at the awards this year, Circle K said the award wins demonstrate its commitment to forecourt food innovation and how the retailer is continuously evolving its food and drink offering to ensure the Irish public can access the best quality, tastiest food and drinks ‘on the go’ from stores.

The 2022 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards, which took place in the Round Room, Mansion House in Dublin, was hosted by Doireann Garrihy and gave special recognition to the very best in retail, wholesale and foodservice food and drink products available in Ireland.

Mary McDonald, senior category manager, Circle K Ireland, said the group was delighted to have been recognised in four categories.

“To be honoured at an award event that recognises the very best food and drink in Ireland, and to pick up three Gold Awards, is a testament to the innovation, hard work and dedication of our colleagues and suppliers,” she said. “I would like to thank them all for their tireless efforts to create and deliver a food and drink to go range which has been officially recognised as among Ireland’s best.”

Demonstrating its focus to bringing more high quality food choice to customers across its company owned network, Circle K also won the ‘Convenience Burger of the Year’ award as part of National Burger Day earlier in this year, and has just launched a brand-new range of chicken wings and loaded fries to deli stores across Ireland, excluding Circle K Express.
