4 September 2026
Circle K has announced the return of its annual Coast to Coast fundraising challenge in support of Pieta.
The fuel and convenience retailer noted that it aiming to raise more than €200,000 for the suicide and self-harm prevention charity through a nationwide programme of fundraising activity.
Taking place on 4 and 5 September 2026, the 220km fundraising event over 24 hours will see 22 Circle K employees, partners and supporters take part in a relay-style run from Galway to Dublin, bringing communities together and raising awareness and vital funds for Pieta’s life-saving services.
Coast to Coast
The Coast to Coast challenge, which will cover seven counties, forms the centrepiece of a wider fundraising campaign running throughout August and September, with support from employees across the Circle K network, supplier partners and local community fundraising initiatives.
As part of this year’s campaign, Circle K noted that it will donate 1 cent to Pieta for every litre of miles and milesPLUS fuel sold between 4 – 6 September 2026 across participating company-owned and dealer-operated service stations nationwide.
Customers can make additional donations to this very important cause in store, via the Circle K app and or on the designated idonate webpage.
Commenting on the fundraiser, Paul Dixon, managing director, Circle K Ireland said: “This year, we have received fantastic support from our sponsors and fundraising partners, which has enabled us to set our most ambitious fundraising target to date.
“Raising more than €200,000 would represent a significant increase on previous years and make an important contribution to Pieta’s vital suicide and self-harm prevention services. Every euro raised helps Pieta provide essential support to people and families across Ireland, and we are inspired by the generosity and determination of everyone getting behind this year’s campaign. We look forward to once again bringing communities together and making a meaningful difference.””
Stephanie Manahan, chief executive officer, Pieta, added: “Circle K’s Coast to Coast is more than an extraordinary physical challenge. It is people coming together to say that no one should have to face suicidal distress, self-harm or suicide bereavement alone.
“We are deeply grateful to every Circle K colleague taking part, and to every customer, partner, family member and friend supporting them. Every euro raised helps Pieta keep our free, professional therapy services and 24/7 Crisis Helpline available for people at the moments they need us most.
“At Pieta, we believe we can stop self-harm and suicide, together. Coast to Coast puts that belief into action by helping more people reach support and see that another way forward is possible. I encourage people across Ireland to get behind the team and support the fundraiser in any way they can.”
‘Fantastic support’
That shared commitment is reflected in the fantastic support the campaign has received from sponsors and fundraising partners this year, Circle K highlighted.
Eight representatives from Richmond Marketing and one from Around Noon will take part in the relay alongside the Circle K team, while a further 25 companies have provided sponsorship and other support.
A dedicated Coast to Coast support vehicle displaying the logos of the campaign’s sponsors will accompany the runners throughout the 220km route. This collective effort will be central to achieving the ambitious goal of raising more than €200,000 for Pieta.
Members of the public can support the campaign by participating in local fundraising activities, donating directly to Pieta, or filling up with miles and milesPLUS fuel during the campaign period.
Launched in January 2026, Circle K’s three-year partnership with Pieta includes a commitment to raise €1 million to support vital suicide and self-harm prevention services.
