Aldi recently announced a donation of over 300 Christmas gift cards with a value of €33,300 to charity partner Barnardos, bringing the total number of vouchers donated to Barnardos in 2022 to €58,300. The donation comes as Aldi reached its €1 million target for the children’s charity.

Aldi’s Christmas gift cards will help support over 300 vulnerable children and families most in need across Ireland over Christmas.

This donation builds on the work of Aldi office colleagues, who are running a charity raffle and a Tree of Giving in aid of Barnardos.

Last month, Aldi and Barnardos announced a two-year extension to their partnership, with the retailer committing to raising an additional €1 million to support vulnerable children and families across Ireland. This will be achieved through a programme of staff, store, customer, and community fundraising initiatives supported by the company.

All funds raised to date have helped to provide over 10,000 meals for children, support over 1,000 children to be school ready and start life in the most positive way, and support 100 families with specialised counselling, intensive parenting support and practical advice.
