Bewley’s employees have completed an incredible 105km cycle to raise funds and awareness for the Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice

Taking place 21 September, the Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice is celebrating 29 years of coffee mornings. To date, the initiative has raised over €40 million for hospices across Ireland.

The Irish public is being urged to host a virtual or socially distanced coffee morning socials this morning to help raise vital funds for their local hospice.

Last year due to pandemic restrictions the annual cycle was coordinated virtually, but this year the team of five cyclists were delighted to get back in the saddle to support Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice. Lead by Jason Doyle, managing director of Bewley’s Ireland & UK, members of the Bewley’s team made the 105km journey across Dublin to support the annual initiative. The charity cycle saw Bewley’s employees visit hospices across the capital that included St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Blackrock, St. Francis Hospice, Raheny and finishing at Bewley’s Northern Cross.

The public can support Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice on Thursday 23rd September 2021 by:

  • Hosting a virtual coffee morning social
  • Hosting a socially distanced coffee morning social with a small group of family or friends
  • If you can’t host or attend a coffee morning social, please consider donating to your local hospice at hospicecoffeemorning.ie

“We are delighted to have once again supported this incredible initiative by completing the 105km cycle across Dublin,” said Jason Doyle, managing director at Bewley’s Ireland & UK. “Bewley’s has been involved in this fundraiser for nearly 30 years, and each year we aim to go above and beyond in order to raise vital funds for hospices nationwide. We are calling on the people of Ireland to get involved this year and support the Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social so that we can continue to help hospices carry out their incredible work.”
