Graham Norton launches Irish gin brand

Broadcaster and author Graham Norton is expanding his involvement in the off-trade with the launch of Graham Norton's Own Irish Gin, which is available exclusively in SuperValu stores across Ireland now.

Megastar of British TV and West Cork native Graham Norton has joined  forces with Barry & Fitzwilliam to launch Graham Norton’s Own Irish Gin, and exclusive new brand that celebrates the broadcaster’s heritage, the flavours of his native county and an award-winning flair for perfection”.

The launch follows the success of Norton’s award-winning GN Wine range, a result of his partnership with Invivo. Tim Lightbourne of Invivo recalls that the idea of Graham Norton’s Own was born after a tasting and blending session for an upcoming wine release. “At the end of the three-hour session,” he says, “someone suggested we celebrate with round of martinis. It was at this point that Graham introduced the idea of releasing an Irish gin, and the plan was born to create one.”

Partnering with an Irish distillery for the project was very important, leading to the involvement of West Cork Distillers, tasked to create the great-tasting gin.  Distilled and produced using 100% Irish grain Graham Norton’s Own Irish Gin draws from a combination of 12 botanicals including lemon peel, orange peel, elderflower, rose hip, and fuchsia flowers, all of which contribute to a Gin “as unique as the man himself”.

Meanwhile, the bottle shape and design have great stand out and the gin speaks for itself!

John Cooney, Off-Licence Trading Manager for SuperValu said that demand for gin is very high, so to see a branded gin like this is something the group is excited about. “The Gin market is experiencing strong growth in the take home gin category,” Cooney said, “and we believe that Graham Norton’s new gin will certainly add to those figures.”

Graham Norton’s Own Irish Gin is available exclusively in SuperValu stores nationwide.
