New Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny expected to welcome thousands of visitors

The Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny has already captured the imagination of the people of Kilkenny and its international visitors, since opening its doors to the public on 31 July 2014. Ireland’s newest visitor attraction, located in the old Victorian brewing building on Parliament Street in Kilkenny City, is a €3.5m multi-sensory and interactive experience which immerses visitors in the history of Smithwick’s.

New Diploma in National and International selling launches

The Sales Institute in conjunction with the National College of Ireland is offering a Level 7 Diploma in National and International Selling. The programme is commencing in September 2014, and will run for one year. It was designed with advice from leaders of the Irish sales industry, to make it a modern and up-to-date programme that can be applied to the day to day selling process.

Groupon Ireland overhauls website to become a true online marketplace

Groupon has announced a completely redesigned Irish website, as well as updated versions of its popular iPhone and Android apps. In press statement, the company said the changes are the latest step in its transition from a daily deal website to a true online marketplace, making it easier for customers to browse Groupon’s vast selection of deals.

Celebrating 25 years of Winning Streak

A new season of the National Lottery’s Winning Streak, now Europe’s longest running TV gameshow, returned to RTÉ One on Saturday 30 August, presented by hosts Sinead Kennedy and Marty Whelan. This season marks the 25th year of Winning Streak and hundreds of thousands of people are set to tune in every Saturday. Players will now also have the opportunity to win €1 million on the Grand Prize Wheel.

Tullamore Distillery nears completion as spirit safe installed

The long-awaited return of whiskey production to Tullamore became a significant step closer this month with the installation of the custom-made Tullamore Distillery spirit safe. The installation of the spirit safe is a major milestone in bringing Tullamore D.E.W. production back to its hometown. The first spirit will flow from the new €35m distillery in mid-September exactly 60 years after the closure of the original distillery.

Heinz introduces new ways to enjoy beans and pulses

Following a rise in popularity for beans and pulses amongst Irish consumers, Heinz is introducing three new and different ways to enjoy these ingredients. The new range includes Heinz Fajita Beanz, Heinz Tuscan Beanz and Heinz Veg Chilli Beanz, which are best served as a side, filling or an ingredient. The launch will be supported with marketing activity from September including TV and radio advertising, PR, sampling and in store activation.
