Leading fuel services provider Top Oil has opened its latest forecourt at Ballyvolane in the north of Cork. The multi-million-euro investment will employ more than 80 people on a 24-hour basis, bringing a wide range of local amenities and providing an economic boost to the Cork area.

The new 3-acre site took just over eight months to complete, and is the latest bit of progress for Top Oil’s retail division Top Sirio.

The new site will offer its customers a wide variety of services on a 24-hour basis, including partnerships with local operators like Wolf and Pickle Food Hall, a mix of self-service and serve-assist delicious hot and cold food, salads and drinks.

There is also a Spar convenience store as well as Supermac’s Drive-thru and Papa John’s Pizza, Peking Asian Street Food, car parking and two car wash bays.

“We are delighted to launch the latest Top Oil forecourt in Cork,” said Gerard Boylan, Top Oil CEO. “We are committed to investing in key locations across Ireland such as Ballyvolane, and providing high quality service to our retail and trade customers.

“This significant forecourt investment demonstrates our continued growth and commitment as a leading Irish fuel and home heating oil provider,” Boylan said, “and we look forward to investing further in key locations across Ireland.”

Trevor O’Reilly, CEO for Sirio, added that the project’s design partners have far exceeded expectations for the finished product. “Essentially,” he said, “we decided to be brave and invest in what we believe is a much-overlooked experience. This will be one of our unique selling points in future, creating destinations of choice. This is our Revolution at Roadside”

The official launch of the new forecourt was carried out by local FF TD Billy Kelleher. Pat McDonagh, alongside Fair City stars Ryan Andrews and Dave O’Sullivan and Cork Hurling star Patrick Horgan.
