The Dublin Fringe Festival, which takes place this September 9 – 24, has announced that the Ireland edition of The Times and The Sunday Times will be its official print and digital sponsors. The Fringe is Ireland’s largest multidisciplinary arts festival, which prides itself on showcasing fresh and innovative approaches to the arts from Irish and international makers. This year, 81 productions including 49 world premieres will be staged in 34 venues across the city.

For the duration of the festival, the Ireland edition of The Times will report on the various events taking place on a daily basis, with a range of interviews, previews, highlights and news items. Meanwhile, the Sunday Times will feature a promotional guide and a retrospective feature at the festival’s denouement.

Complimentary copies of both publications will be available to audiences at selected venues and competitions will give readers the opportunity to win exclusive prizes.

Victoria Bell, interim chief marketing officer for News Ireland says the partnership is a very natural fit. “The festival is a fantastic platform for fresh and innovative ideas amongst Irish and international artists,” says Bell, “and our readers enjoy the already extensive coverage of the arts in our titles.

“It’s wonderful to be able to join these two elements together and offer a range of perspectives on what is happening,” she added.
