SangSom was first introduced into the Thailand market in 1977. Now, 30 years on, the award winning rum is the most successful beverage in the history of Thailand’s liquor industry. The rum was created by Chula Kanchanakaksha, widely acknowledged as the "liquor genius" of Thailand for his unique ability to balance both the art and science of spirit blending.
SangSom is produced from molasses, before being transferred to age in charred oak barrels for three to five years. After this it is blended with a special concentrate of finely selected herbs and spices. The complex taste and fragrance of SangSom result in a unique partnership with soft drinks and fresh juices, making it the classic ingredient for any cocktail or blended beverage. SangSom mixes perfectly with Shark, Fanta Orange and Coke.
Targeted at a younger market, SangSom is the perfect choice for sharing with friends at house parties and BBQs. The brand evokes a sense of escapism and imagination, with it being the drink of choice at Thailand’s legendary Full Moon Parties.
