The Irish Dairy Board (IDB) has announced the appointment of Fergal McGarry as global marketing and innovation director. McGarry joins the IDB from Johnson & Johnson where he held the position of business unit director EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Since he joined Johnson & Johnson in 1995, he has held a number of senior marketing and business roles in Ireland and abroad. This senior appointment is in line with the IDB’s objective of preparing the group for the expansion forecast under Food Harvest 2020, aligning its growth objectives around new product development and marketing, and positioning the group to deliver on its ambitious strategic growth programme.
