JPA Brenson Lawlor, a top 20 chartered accountancy and advisory firm which specialises in the retail grocery sector, has made a series of senior appointments, in response to growth across all the firm’s activities.

Ian Lawlor has been appointed partner corporate finance. A chartered accountant, he joined the practice in 2006 and advises on corporate finance, audit compliance and the development of robust processes and internal controls. He is a former European financial controller of Trinity Biotech plc, an Irish-based multinational.

Deirdre Byrne has been promoted to the position of audit manager, a role that involves managing an audit portfolio of SME clients across a range of business sectors. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Cathal Maher has been appointed director corporate legal affairs and advises clients on corporate compliance and related services. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and is a Commissioner for Oaths.

JPA Brenson Lawlor is based in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, and provides full accounting and business advisory services to clients in retail pharmacy, grocery, hospitality and other sectors. The firm is a member of the JPA International network, which has over 130 firms in 40 countries worldwide.
