The Irish Grocery Benevolence Fund (IGBF) has announced that the IGBF ‘Tour De Grocer Cycle’ will take place again in 2024.

The charity is delighted that the event will return, and sincerely thanked all those who have supported the event over the past two years, noting that the total raised to date is just over 110k; which is greatly appreciated by the IGBF.

This year, the IGBF has come up with another new and exciting route. Participants will be cycling from Athlone, Co. Roscommon to Spanish Point in Co. Clare and back again. The cycle will include an overnight stay in Spanish Point on day one. Then, on day two, the group will cycle to Athlone on an alternative route water to water, with a stay in the Hodson Bay Hotel along with its customary BBQ.

“We do hope that you will be in a position to enter a cyclist in 2024 or perhaps make a donation to sponsor the event, which many of you have so kindly done in the past,” said the IGBF’s Kevin Keating.

The cost of €1,600 for each cyclist will cover two nights’ accommodation, meals, and support provided by the IGBF’s amazing team from Raycsports. For safety reasons, the maximum number of cyclists will be 30 people, so the IGBF advises to please book early to avoid disappointment.

Should you wish to book a space or pledge your donation to sponsor your Industry colleagues taking part, please contact Kevin Keating or Marily in Hotel Solutions DMC:
