Revenue seize tobacco products worth over €10,100 in various operations

Over 295.15 litres of alcohol, with an estimated value of almost €4,105, representing a potential loss to the exchequer of over €2,300 was seized by Revenue

Over the past week, commencing 15/09/2025, Revenue officers seized contraband tobacco products with an estimated value of over €10,100 in various operations in Dublin, the Midlands, and Rosslare Europort.

The detections were made as a result of risk profiling and intelligence led operations, and also included the three litres of alcohol with an estimated value of almost €90, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of €68.

Revenue noted that the counterfeit goods were seized as they were confirmed by the Rights Holder to have infringed on Intellectual Property Rights.

Ongoing investigations

Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.

These seizures are part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity.
