OK! Magazine reducing price
CSNA concerned about how a cover price reduction for UK weekly title Ok! will affect its profitability for retailers here in Ireland

The news that the publishers of OK! weekly will be reducing on a permanent basis the cover price of their weekly celebrity news magazine from £1.99 to £1.49 from issue 799 (19 October) will have a significant impact upon the profitability of the title for Irish retailers.
It has sold for €2.83 for some time, earning retailers 65 cent for each copy sold. With the new reduction, the cover price will translate to €2.11, giving a new cash return of 49 cent per copy. Put simply, to earn the same return from OK! magazine, you need to sell 32% more copies than before to make the same level of cash return.
