LK Shields Solicitors formally announced last month the appointment of Jennifer Clarke, Jennifer O’Neill and Jill Callanan as partners in the firm, which took effect from May 2009. Jennifer Clarke has become a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution department and has been with the firm since 1998. Clarke advises on all aspects of commercial litigation and dispute resolution and is also a member of the firm’s Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits Unit. Her expertise includes advising licensed property owners on all aspects of the law relating to licensed properties.

Jennifer O’Neill has become a partner in the firm’s Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits Unit, having been part of the team since 1996. O’Neill advises domestic and international clients in relation to all aspects of the employment relationship and is a member of the Employment and Equality Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland. She also deals with all employment related issues in commercial transactions.

Jill Callanan has become a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and has been working with the team since 1999. She is also one of the leading members of the firm’s Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency Unit, regularly advising liquidators, receivers, creditors and company directors in relation to restructuring and insolvency matters.

LK Shields said in announcing the appointments that “they recognise the individual contributions to the firm of our new partners over the years and also the achievements of the departments in which they practice. These appointments will also ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding levels of service to all our clients.”
