Siobhan Talbot has been appointed group finance director designate at Glanbia in Ireland

Siobhan Talbot has been appointed group finance director designate at Glanbia, following the announcement that current group finance director and deputy group managing director Geoff Meagher will be retiring from his executive roles on 30 June 2009.
Talbot, who joins the Glanbia board with effect from 1 July, has been a chartered accountant with the group since 1992. She was appointed deputy group finance director in June 2005 and prior to that held a number of senior positions including group secretary and group operations controller.
Group managing director John Moloney congratulated Talbot on her appointment to the role of group finance director, and wished Meagher well in his retirement. Meagher came to the company in 1975 when it was the Avonmore Group.
