A brand new EuroSpar in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath has opened, boosting the local economy with plans to completely overhaul the site and bring a new shopping experience to the local area.

Once refurbishment is complete, the new store will be substantially increased in size, and designed to deliver on EuroSpar’s  “famous for fresh” promise to shoppers.

In the refurbished store, an extended fresh food offering will include fruit and veg, butchery and delicatessen departments. A new full-service bakery will also be introduced, serving freshly baked breads and confectionery every day. The store has also introduced the Insomnia coffee brand.

An enhanced grocery, off licence, seating area and Post Office will make EuroSpar Kinnegad a destination for locals to both shop and socialise.

Willie Forde, Operations Director for the Furey/Smyth Group (the store’s new owners), says he is looking forward to showcasing the new supermarket to the local community. “We hope you will bear with us as we upgrade the store over coming weeks,” he said, “but I think everyone will be delighted with the end result.”
