Musgrave Marketplace has announced a €2.5m upgrade of its Robinhood store in Clondalkin, Dublin, and a €1m upgrade of its store in Duncrue, Belfast. The works are a continuation of the relaunch of Musgrave Marketplace’s Ballymun store in November 2016.

Features set to be introduced as part of the revamps include new specialty areas and state-of-the-art technology to offer customers what the company calls “a best in class visitor experience.”

The 73,000 sq ft Robinhood store will reopen in August 2017, with four new positions created to provide expert advice to customers in a number of key areas:

  • Specialist meat, cheese and fruit & veg counters
  • Fresh fish with extended seafood range
  • State-of-the-art culinary theatre to provide Musgrave Marketplace customers with product showcases, tasting classes and more

Furthermore, the revamped stores will have hundreds of new products available, along with online access.

“We are delighted to announce the upgrade to both the Robinhood and Duncrue stores following the hugely successful renovation of our Ballymun store,” says Noel Keeley, MD of Musgrave Wholesale Partners.

“The business of food and drink is constantly evolving. We need to ensure that we continue to innovate and respond to growing trends that impact our customers’ needs.

“This investment,” he continues, “is testament to our commitment to providing cash and carry stores of the future. As well as providing our customers with the products they want, we will also be able to add value through our experts on hand in-store.”

The revamped Musgrave MarketPlace Robinhood will officially open in August with the Belfast store opening in September 2017.
