Maxol and Aware shine a light on mental health this season with special Christmas Candle

Maxol has launched a Christmas candle with Aware, which will be sold in all Maxol locations nationwide. The perfect stocking filler, the high quality, Irish-made candle is for sale for just €4 at Maxol till-points across the country and all proceeds will go towards the company’s charity partner, Aware. With more than 450,000 people experiencing depression in Ireland, Aware’s message is one of hope; with support and information, recovery is possible.

Over €11 million jackpot for lottery ticket sold at Spar Amiens Street

The winning lottery ticket for Saturday night’s €11.3 million jackpot was sold in Dublin city centre. The Quick Pick selection was bought in the Spar Amiens Street on Saturday, according to the National Lottery. Paul FitzGerald, of Spar /Top Amiens Service Station said there has been great excitement around the win.

Irish Organic Salmon a winner with French Sushi Chefs

Bord Bia`s promotion of Irish organic salmon as a top class product was recognised this week in Paris when it was chosen as one of the sustainably produced fish used in the ‘Open Sushi’ chefs’ competition. With 21 Michelin star Japanese chefs in France and 2,500 sushi or Japanese themed restaurants and food corners, the sector offers potential for exporting high quality seafood, especially raw fish. In fact, France is a major market for Irish organic salmon, accounting for 50% of all salmon exports.

Recycle responsibly this Christmas: Repak

Repak has called on Irish businesses to recycle responsibly during the Christmas season, when an estimated 45,750 tonnes of producer packaging will be placed on the market. The call to action was made at the launch of Repak’s ‘Shop with a Repak Member’ campaign this week. This is aiming to highlight the inequity in the existing system, whereby compliant member companies are being put at a competitive disadvantage by those who have chosen not to comply with law.
