Dublin-based Keogh’s Farm has joined forces with O’Neill’s Irish Atlantic Sea Salt in Co. Cork to launch the fourth core flavour in its hand-cooked potato crisp range – Keogh’s Irish Atlantic Sea Salt. Hailing from a region of Ireland that supplies 65% of Ireland’s fruit and vegetables, The Keoghs have been farming in north county Dublin for over four generations. They are the only producers in Ireland growing potatoes and cooking crisps from the same potatoes on their farm, often turning crop to crisp on the same day.

The O’Neill family handcraft Irish Atlantic Sea Salt flakes on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork using the seawaters that surround their home. They harvest their sea salt using a gentle and slow production process that blends age-old artisan salt making techniques with modern energy efficient technologies. This process has resulted in a distinct seasoning for the crisps.

In late 2011 the Keogh family set up a small crisping house on their farm and have been producing Ireland’s only hand cooked, artisan potato crisps ever since. "We decided to use Irish Atlantic Sea Salt in our new flavour as it in keeping with the strong tradition Keogh’s has for producing only the best Irish produce using locally sourced fresh ingredients," said Tom Keogh.

Aileen and Michael O’Neill of O’Neill’s Irish Atlantic Sea Salt believe that both the Keogh and O’Neill families share the same commitment to quality, taste and "keeping it Irish". Keogh’s Irish Atlantic Sea Salt Crisps are available in Superquinn and Dunnes Stores nationwide as well as select independent food retailers in a large sharing bag and a small impulse bag.
