Heineken claims to have led the way in promoting category growth through a commitment to quality, training and excellent service.  Delivering the perfectly-poured pint of Heineken every single time is the mantra driving the Heineken Star Serve progamme and training for this rolls out to a further 150 outlets to total 550 by the end of 2013.

This year, for the first time, Ireland’s Star Servers will be represented on the global stage at the Global Star Serve Awards by availing of the opportunity to compete for the title of Global Star Serve champion at this year’s Global Star Serve Awards in Amsterdam.

From the rinse to the serve, each step of the Star Serve programme strives to ensure that the lager reaches the hands of the consumer with the highest quality every time.

By heroing the skill and ritual involved in pouring the perfect pint, Heineken Star Serve promotes pride in the craft of dispensing draught lager and motivates bar staff to provide the consumer with an experience that is unique to the pub.

Hands-on demonstration and in-bar training from Heineken’s Star Serve Ambassadors Barry Clarke and Roisin O’Sullivan, as well as Michael Stewart (NI), brings a partnership-led approach to Star Serve.  The world class draught-master team takes to the road again in 2013, delivering training, support and their own passion for the art of the perfect pour to pubs around the country.

The Star Serve partnership with publicans continues long after the training has been completed in the bar, ensuring the quality journey doesn’t end there.  Mystery Shopper visits to Star Serve venues will be implemented in 2013, keeping a consumer’s-eye view on the quality of the experience in participating venues and ensuring the Five Step Pour is part of the bar staff’s everyday role behind the bar.

Celebrating excellence and rewarding commitment to quality in the trade are also a key step in the Heineken Star Serve journey and The Star Serve Awards have fast become a fixture in the on-trade calendar.
