Championing Irish business since 1974, Guaranteed Irish is launching its first-ever business awards, created to deliver a national celebration of trusted businesses, both homegrown and international, who have shown resilience, innovation, and success, especially over the past 18 months.

With over 1,600 members, Guaranteed Irish has teamed up with title sponsor, Permanent TSB, to deliver the awards, which will be MCed by business broadcaster, Richard Curran.

Taking place at an awards luncheon in The Shelbourne on Thursday, 24 March 2022, the event will celebrate businesses that ‘support local, look global’; those businesses that support jobs, communities, and provenance, and contribute to Ireland, its people, and its economy.

“Guaranteed Irish has been supporting businesses in Ireland for almost 50 years and is recognised as the National symbol for trust and provenance,” says Brid O’Connell, CEO of Guaranteed Irish.

“The first-ever awards will build on this status, recognising and celebrating the very best local and international companies that are registered in Ireland, leaders at the top of their game, and up and coming new businesses that are ‘ones to watch’,” she adds.

Entries to the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards 2022, proudly supported by Permanent TSB, are now open and categories include Food & Beverage, Technology, Pharmaceutical & Healthcare, Professional Services, E-Commerce, Start-Up, Tourism & Hospitality, Home Beauty & Lifestyle and Construction Engineering & Manufacturing amongst others.

Achievement Awards will also be presented to Guaranteed Irish Company of the Year, Guaranteed Irish Person of the Year and Guaranteed Irish ‘One to Watch’.

The judging panel will consist of experts and leading lights in each of the categories, who will decide on the finalists and winning companies.

Patrick Farrell, director of Retail Banking at Permanent TSB, says that following the pandemic, businesses have “reimagined their offerings and services to meet the needs of their customers and adapt to changing customer behaviours.

“The Guaranteed Irish Business Awards, proudly supported by Permanent TSB, give us an opportunity to partner with such a respected organisation to further support and celebrate businesses who deserve recognition for their determination, progress and commitment to doing business – both at a local and international level,” says Farrell.

The Guaranteed Irish Business Awards, proudly supported by Permanent TSB, are now open for entries at www.guaranteedirish.ie/business-awards and licensed Guaranteed Irish members are invited to apply. Entries close on 5 November 2021 with finalists announced in January 2022.
