After just one year in the market, HelloFresh is celebrating its first anniversary of delivering fresh and convenient meals to homes across the country. The positive response from Irish consumers has highlighted a strong appetite for convenience, variety and value.

HelloFresh’s entry into the Irish market has proven timely, offering a solution to the 13% increase in grocery costs nationwide with its consistent pricing model. With people spending nearly four full days a year in the supermarket, the brand has helped customers save thousands of hours by delivering directly to their doors.

The company offers a range of more than 10,000 different recipes to people worldwide.

After a year in the Irish market, the brand has gathered data about the Irish culinary palate. The most popular cuisine is Asian dishes, noodles and stir-fries are the go-to choices. The top two ranked recipes are the Honey Ginger Prawns and Thai Spiced Beef.

Contrary to the stereotype of the Irish palate being bland, HelloFresh’s data shows that Irish consumers don’t shy away from spicy food. The uptake of spicy and non-spicy dishes is almost the same.

Hannah Duxbury, culinary lead, HelloFresh Ireland, said: “Our customers have been able to free up their time and discover the joy of cooking tasty meals without the stress of planning and shopping. We’ve been there as households come together over delicious home-cooked meals, and as they explore new recipes and flavours.

“Our mission is to empower everyone in the country to enjoy a variety of meals with ease and enjoyment. As we move into our second year, we’re excited to continue being a helping hand in our customers’ culinary adventures.”
