This year’s Gala All-Ireland Camogie Championship culminated in a fantastic triple header All-Ireland Day at Croke Park. Tens of thousands of Camogie fans, players and supporters gathered to see their respective teams be crowned Gala All-Ireland Camogie Champions.

Wexford regained their crown from 2007, under the leadership of Una Lacey, taking home the Gala All-Ireland Senior title in a hotly contested match against Galway.

In the intermediate final, reigning Junior champions, Offaly, took part in their third consecutive All-Ireland against Wexford to claim the win on the day and after a replay, Antrim won the Gala Premier Junior All-Ireland title against Waterford.

Gary Desmond, CEO of Gala Retail Services congratulated all the Gala All-Ireland finalists, noting:  “The six teams fought hard, with determination and spirit to be victorious on the day however only three teams could lift the trophies.

“This year, Gala continued with the Gala Performance Awards and ten awards were handed out during the season recognising individual players’ contributions to their teams, and to the sport of Camogie.”
